There are nine Mahadashas and Ketu is the first and the worst of them. In astrology, the word ‘Ketu’ means the tail of a demon and it lasts for seven long years. The remedies are to not commit adultery, to adopt a dog after the individual is of forty-eight years and to place a pot full of honey, the pot made of silver in the individual’s house.
