What if the Kundalis don’t match?

What if the Kundalis don’t match?

There is a lot of jargon – useful or not – on the topic of Kundali Matchmaking. Those of you who are not aware of the term Kundali Matching, let me introduce to you what it is. Kundali Matching or Kundali Milan is an age-old process that is done before marriage. Many of you will get confused with the usage of the process to describe Kundali Milan but it is one. It is steeped and derives its origin from Astrology which involves matching two horoscopes, of the boy and the girl, to check whether they are compatible or not. Many of you might have also heard the term Guna Milan and may see it being synonymous with Kundali Matching. Kundali Matching is a complete process on its own whereas Guna Milan is the very first step of Kundali Matching.

The date of birth, the time of birth, and the place of birth are required by an Astrologer to match the horoscopes of both the boy and the girl and do their Kundali Milan. Kundali is a Vedic term used to denote Horoscope in the English language. Kundali Matching is very detailed and does not miss any aspect of the marital life of both the girl and the boy. In Guna Milan, under Kundali Matching, 8 Gunas are listed. They are – Varna, Vasya, Tara, Yoni, Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi. The total score of all these 8 Gunas equals 36. For a match to be announced as preferable, the prospective groom and the prospective bride should at least garner more than 18 as their score. If the score is under 18, the marriage is not deemed suitable anymore.

There are also times when the Kundalis do not match and both the boy and the girl start questioning the legitimacy and authority with which Kundali Matching operates. It is not that Kundali Milan wants to be another obstacle in your birth to get married; it is just showing the results that are based on the celestial arrangement of planets at the time & moment you were born. A Kundali of a person is like a snapshot into his or her future and that is where Kundali Milan becomes vital to ascertain prospects involving domestic life. We usually say that the Kundalis do not match when the score is below 18 or certain Doshas are found in the Kundali. Let us take a look at a few of the Doshas which can have a fatal and almost blowing effect on your Matrimonial Life –

Nadi Dosha

We are the descendants of our ancestors and it is believed in Indian culture that if we share the same preceptor in form of a Yogi or a Sage, then we should have the same Nadi. Having the same Nadi can produce Nadi Dosha and is malefic in possibilities hanging around childbirth, health, and the overall well-being of the couple. There are certain remedies like bringing food to a Brahmin, getting a Nadi Nivaran Puja done, getting the bride to be married to Lord Vishnu first, etc.

Mangal Dosha

Mangal is the word that we use to refer to Planet Mars. Mars is considered to be the planet of war and war type of situations in the domestic household is not the ideal way to attend to your married life. A native having Mangal Dosha in her/his horoscope is said to be Manglik. The aftermath of Mangal Dosha if left unattended can have severe and almost damageable effects on a native and his or her married life. Many remedies are suggested like getting married to a Tree, getting a Mangal Dosha Nivaran Puja done, etc.

Kundalis usually don’t match when there is the presence of such type of Doshas. It is best to treat them before marriage. If not treated on time, your married life can have damaging effects. You can have petty arguments with your spouse, never-ending arguments with him or her, negative impact on health, etc.

There is no need to excessively panic if your Kundali does not match with your partner. You can still get married to them but only under the guidance of an experienced Astrologer or a Pundit whom you trust and who is reliable. Astrology is foolproof because it is actual science. However, you can only define the nature of your marriage through your behavior, conduct, and feelings. With Kundali Matching in place, you can make wiser decisions if not the best according to the given situation.
