Vastu is another ancient Indian science, which is concerned with architecture and buildings which helps in creating a very pleasant and blissful setting to live or permanent settlement to live and to work for humans which makes the best use of the environment and nature around us combining all the elements, vibes and the energy fields for the enhancement of health, wealth, success, and overall happiness.

There is an aspect of ancient Indian science, that unifies the study of art, astrology, astronomy, and ancient Indian architecture. It can also be termed as the mystical science from ancient India for building architecture and designing. Its overall target is to make our daily lives better and correct all the things that go wrong.

Vastu is the study and science of directions, that has the purpose to combine all of the five elements present in nature and make them a balance between human life and materialism. Vastu shastra is the creation of a delightful setting for living place or working place, in a very specific manner taking every possible advantage of all the elements of nature which are known as "Paanchbhootas" of nature hence, standing up on the motive for enhanced wealth, health, prosperity and overall happiness in the heavenly environment.

The vast was the product of the ancient sages who actually knew the right use of the elements that nature have gifted us, it takes into consideration all the energy fields, like the magnetic field of earth and Gravitation, the galaxy and the speed and nature of winds, also including the heat and light coming from the sun, the UV rays and the physical character of rain. All of this information is used for the benefit of the overall planning, architecture, construction, working, and production by humans. Our ancient sages took years to collect this information and confine them into the making of "Vastu Shastra". This theory has been researched by scientists in modern history.

It is a very well-established fact that greenery and the presence of green plants at houses make the environment very elegant and beautiful. They clean up the air we breathe, they provide us with a number of healthy items and much more. But the Vastu is however concerned with certain plants that can enhance the quality of the living conditions when present at the house.

Here is a list of plants that bring positivity in the environment in the place-

Basil Plant:-

The Holy Basil plant, known as "Tulsi" (Ocimum sanctum) is considered very auspicious for their presence in the home. Vastu shastra suggest it be placed this plant in the northeast direction or in the north or east. The leaves of the Basil plant are scientifically proven very healthy and removes all the toxins present in the body and blood. It is an excellent purifier of the house. While keeping the plant in the house, we shall make sure that it is receiving appropriate air and sunlight. The Basil plant is one of the most essential plants not only for Vastu but also for modern medical science.

Lucky Bamboo plant:-

It is known to promote peace and luck in the family. It attracts wealth in the family. This is somewhat different from the common bamboo plant. One must not use the dwarfed bamboo plant as it goes against nature, and also the yellow stem bark should be preferred over the darker color bamboo bark.

Money plant:-

The Vastu shastra's other very popular plant used is the money plant (Epipremnum aureum). It is the symbol of endless prosperity at the house. It is suggested to be placed on the eastern side of the house. Money plants can also be placed indoors in the bedroom, but the Vastu does not suggest to place it near our footrest. Placing a money plant in the balcony is another very lucky gesture but strictly on the northeast side of the balcony.

Neem tree:-

Neem tree has been sacred for many religions other than Hinduism, and the neem leaves are another source of antioxidants and antitoxin material. The neem tree is supposed to be planted on the northwest side of the house. One of the best trees that the Vastu offers, the air flowing through the neem tree must be allowed to flow into the windows of the house.

Banana tree:-

The banana tree is worshipped in many parts of the world. In the Hindu Vastu culture, it is believed that the banana plant symbolizes the Lord Vishnu, and this plant is worshipped alongside Vishnu. Vastu dictates that the Banana tree should be placed on the northeast side of the house.

Peony:-

This is a very beautiful and very bright colored flower. This plant symbolizes optimism and the positive energy is all around it. Its positive features make it a symbol of love, and femininity. This is for the people who wish to find their love, they need to keep this plant on the southwest side of the house. The color if this flower is red and the red color is very auspicious or the Hindu rituals. This flower is the true symbol of peace, goodness, and value.

Daffodils: -

One of the most popular plants bots only in Vastu, but all around the world, the beauty of daffodils is highly praised. In Vastu culture, this plant symbolizes forgiveness, truth, and purity. They are best for the northeast or the north location of the house. It is believed to bring the hidden talents out of a person. One should not select the dwarfed variety of Daffodils.

Feng Shu is another culture that is a believer in house plants along with Vastu. The plants are believed to bring positivity and the flow of positivity is constant. The presence of good plants in the house is beneficial for all of us, Vastu is just a medium to make the most benefit out of the plants present in the house. Hence, for a person who needs to study Vastu, the presence and placement of different plants will be essential.
