Chakra means a wheel and the human body contains 7 chakras in total. These chakras can also be termed as the energy centers of your body, which starts from above your head to the end of your spine.

The proper balance of these chakras will allow you to maintain all your bodily functions well help resist diseases and enhance your emotional well-being, no matter what your zodiac.

To balance these chakras there are certain meditation techniques and yoga exercises. If you feel that you are lacking some trait or maybe lost some emotional balance, or if your chakras are blocked, these exercises will help open them up.

If you let the chakras be stuck and do not let them do their work properly you will start feeling uneasy and will be prone to get disorders. Once you get the habit and the art of opening the chakras properly, you will make sure to do it often to lead a peaceful life.

The existence of chakras dates back to early Buddhism and Hinduism. Buddhism just mentions 5 of these chakras whereas in Hinduism all the 7 are present.

The 7 chakras can be listed as follows:

Root chakra (Muladhara):

This chakra can be found at the base of the body, which is the end of the spine. When this chakra is balanced you will feel grounded, calm and anchored in reality.

Slightest doubt in your survival will be shown by the misalignment of the root chakra.

Thus for you to achieve something or pursue some goals, the balance of this chakra is a must. The color that governs this chakra is red and the element to which this chakra is related is Earth.

If this chakra is clogged you tend to face problems like paranoia, sore lower back, low energy levels, and distraction.

Sacral Chakra (Svadhishthana):

The creative characteristics in you are due to the balance of this chakra. It is not just restricted to art and creativity but also in sexual well-being and the trait of being balance in all walks of life.

If you are tired or stressed in any way this causes a misalignment in this chakra, not only this but also if you are finding it difficult to handle your relationships well. This chakra is present in the middle of the abdomen.

The color that governs this chakra is orange and the element related to this chakra is Water.

The imbalance of this chakra leads to issues like lack of inspiration, increase in allergies, urinary problems, attraction towards different addictive behaviors, etc.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura):

This chakra enhances the personal power of you. You’ll be able to make clear decisions when this chakra is balanced.

The clarity of this chakra will lead you to a smooth path for your future.

This chakra when aligned will allow you to feel confident of your decisions as well as yourself and you will be able to accomplish anything in your life.

This chakra is present near the stomach, above your abdomen.

The color which governs this chakra is yellow and the element associated with this chakra is Fire.

Problems like shaky confidence, lack of self-esteem, digestive discomfort, memory problems, etc arise due to the imbalance of this chakra.

Heart Chakra (Anahata):

This chakra is related to the capacity of love and compassion of all forms in you. This chakra can also be called a bridge between the mind, body, and soul.

This chakra when aligned helps you to be emotionally stable and lets you not only to enjoy your deep self but also understand it on a cognitive level.

This chakra is located right above the heart.

The color that governs this chakra is green and the element related to this chakra is Air.

The imbalance of this chakra leads to problems like restlessness, misalignment, high blood pressure, less compassionate nature.

Throat chakra (Vishuddha):

This chakra is related to the expression of your deepest self in all senses possible. It shows the directness, honesty through emotional means, and the needs that are connected to this chakra.

The alignment of this chakra will help you speak your mind out and also understand others completely and properly. You will be able to speak straightforward but by eliminating the bluntness. This chakra is located in the middle of the throat.

The color that governs this chakra is blue and the element related to this chakra is Ether.

Problems like blockages in thoughts, words, struggling to express yourself, aches in the neck, hormone fluctuations, throat problems, etc arise due to the imbalance of this chakra.

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna):

This is a powerful chakra as it provides powerful energy when in a balanced condition. It helps in developing your intuitive nature, alignment with the universe, and the ability to see the clearer picture of life.

The alignment of this chakra helps you achieve the Law of Attraction, and enhances your experiences in manifestation.

This chakra is located in the middle of the eyebrows.

The color that governs this chakra is Indigo and the element related to this chakra is Extra-Sensory Perception.

The imbalance of this chakra can cause issues like sleep disorders, clumsy feelings, struggling to learn new things, psychological paralysis, a feeling of insignificance in whatever you do, etc.

Crown chakra (Sahasrara):

This chakra is at the highest level of all the chakras. It regulates the spiritual connectivity of self and is sometimes referred to as ‘thousand petal lotus’ chakra. This chakra helps in creating the life you wish for.

Due to this chakra, you will feel elated and complete in your skin. You will feel the best of the positivity within you and in sync with your spiritual self.

This chakra is located above your head. The color that governs this chakra is Violet and the element related to this chakra is Thought.

The imbalance of this chakra causes problems like lack of motivation and inspiration, a drift of your spiritual being, physical problems, chronic headaches, etc.
