Basant Panchami also marks the beginning of the spring season, and it is also said that this festivity is basically to appreciate the efforts offered to us by the goddess of enlightenment and the creator of the universe, wife of Brahma ji, Goddess Saraswati.

Celebrating Basant Panchami is also quite beneficial for the artists and the ones related to the field of music or any other form of art can achieve great heights in their respective fields.

RITUALS TO BE PERFORMED…

The first and foremost step should definitely be waking up early, taking a fresh bath, and cleaning the house, especially the puja area. 

It is preferred that you dress in yellow-colored clothes after taking a bath as it is said that this color is related to the goddess Saraswati. 

This all is followed by placing the idol of goddess Saraswati on a raised platform with a clean and fresh yellow cloth placed under the idol on this raised platform. 

Alongside the idol of goddess Saraswati, the idol of Lord Ganesha should also be placed. 

You are also suggested to place your notebooks, writing tools, or any of your interments in front of the idols in order to attain the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. 

Lastly, light a lamp or a Diya in front of these idols and chant the suitable mantras in your prayer booklet and end the puja by distributing sweets in the form of Prasad.
