Origin of Ayurveda
The Ayurveda was mostly originated in parts of Asia. India has been practising Ayurveda from almost 3000 years ago. Nowadays, a large percentage of people still have faith in Ayurveda and are continuing to choose it over other medical systems. According to Hindu mythology, the physician to the gods Dhanvantari attributed the Ayurveda from the lord Brahma. The Ayurveda principles are written in the Vedas. The Atharva Veda marks the mentions of most of the health systems and cures. According to the Vedas, the Ayurveda can cure a large number of diseases. The Vedas have mentioned about different plants and herbs that can cure diseases. Except for Atharva Veda, Rig Veda also has some hymns which have names of certain plants that have medicinal value to them. There are many books that were written on the Ayurveda medical system. The importance has been lost because many people don’t know how to practise it. But slowly, as people are generating interest in Ayurveda, they are researching and studying the different principles of Ayurveda and are bringing back the Ayurveda medical system in the lives of people.
